The Purpose and Limits of This Site

This is a private guide, not a government office or records archive. It does not keep official booking, jail, or court records, and it cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or submit legal filings. It may link to public agency resources and independent research tools, but the source agency remains responsible for its own records.

The guide is intended to help readers distinguish Putnam County sources from Western Regional Jail, WVDCR, court, and federal systems. It does not replace those systems or give an official response on their behalf.

Permitted Use

You may use the site only lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you agree not to:

You agree not to use information from this site or a linked partner tool for any purpose regulated by the FCRA, including:

• Employment, hiring, firing, or other work-related decisions
• Housing or tenant-screening decisions
• Credit eligibility, lending, or insurance pricing decisions
• Licensing, permit, government-program, or benefit eligibility decisions
• Any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act

External Resources

The site may link to jail and custody searches, sheriff or corrections pages, court portals, legal resources, and independent search services. We do not control, operate, endorse, or guarantee any external service. Their content, uptime, terms, privacy practices, and records must be evaluated under their own policies.

Government-held public-record requests are separately governed by the West Virginia Freedom of Information Act, including W. Va. Code §29B-1-3, rather than by these private-site terms.

Severability
